Yesterday was one of my best friend's birthday. We were able to celebrate her by having a roof-top dinner with a bunch of our girl friends. This friend is so dear to me and has really taught me what true friendship means. :)
We were able to have our dinner on the roof of a beautiful house on Balboa Island. Here if the view from the roof.
Several of my girlfriends are pregnant right now so we had two types of sangria...I loved the labels to help us tell them apart! (LOL I just noticed which one is empty...)
Meet my sister Cyndi...
I want to share a photo that some of us took before dinner. Here are some words to describe this group: 10 years of friendship, roommates, colleagues, travel buddies, friends, sisters. We spent college together and now we live near and far, but it feels so good to reunite and not miss a beat. :)
Happy Birthday Mel! :)
I <3 a little bit of both when it comes to posts! Part school life, part real life! :) Looks like you girlies had a great time!

ReplyDeleteI agree with Kim but I keep my teaching and personal blogs separate, just my preference.
ReplyDeleteI love the naughty and nice drinks!
Looks like you girls had a blast!! I love to hear a little bit of both (personal and teaching) on blogs, because I like to get to know everyone on here on both levels. :) Happy Summer!

Learning Is Something to Treasure
I like a little of both on a blog, because then I get to know the teacher behind the blog better :)

A Cupcake for the Teacher
This looks like a great time! I am your newest follower and can't wait to see what you share! Hope you take a peek at my new blog and join me in my new adventure too!
ReplyDeleteI like reading teacher blogs because of the ideas that I get, but I love reading the personal too... maybe even more. It makes me feel like I know the person, which makes the blog become a favorite of mine. I know in my blog I love to incorporate my personal life too. I guess you just have to know how to balance it out.
