I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share 5 random things about this week!
Photo 1: My first week back! This was my first week back from Christmas break! I really did miss my students but there is ONE thing I didn't miss...TYING SHOES! {lol!} I captured the first set of shoes that I had to tie in two weeks!
Photo 2: I hit 1,000 blog followers this week! I seriously am SO excited! This week a 1,000th lovely person decided to click the "join this site" button to follow my blog. Thanks so much for taking the time to read anything that I post! :)
Photo 3: Count and write the room activity. I have seen several read and write the room activities, but I decided to switch it to use for math. This is found in my Winter Wonderland Unit. The students wander the room to find little cards, then they count the items and write the number on their recording sheet.
Photo 4: I got a manicure today! Gel nails are my favorite. They don't chip and last for several weeks.
Photo 5: My co-worker's paint activity. My bestie at work and I share a Pinterest board titled: 10 Minutes til Open House and I Choose THIS Craft?!?! Somehow whenever we are in crunch time (report cards are due, parent teacher conferences are that day, the morning of a field trip, etc.) we find ourselves doing the most time consuming or messy project! It never fails! We started a Pinterest board for us to post inside jokes of the WORST types of activities would be to do right before an important event or during crunch time. Well, this is a photo of what she did outside our classroom! They are learning the letter "F" this weeks so they painted with flyswatters! The kids loved it, but I died laughing because this is something we definitely would have pinned on our board!
Happy Friday!
Love the mani! And ha ha ha about the worst-timed activities and flying by the seat of your pants! My co-worker and I joke about the same thing! I like to start elaborate art projects with 20 minutes left in the day!!!!

Rowdy in Room 300
Wow-1,000 followers, I can't even imagine. Congratulations! Love the nail color! I always have really bad timing with crafts as well. We made collages yesterday and the room looked like a tornado hit it when our upper admins came in, oops. At least the kids were all engaged! :)
